2016 NFL Season Teams On The Rise

This upcoming NFL season is one full of expectations and high hopes as teams have made drastic changes to their rosters. Houston Texans will look to get their offense going with their new quarterback Brock Osweiler. Denver Broncos made an interesting decision when drafting Paxton Lynch out of Memphis, instead of going with what seemed to be their rising star in Brock Osweiler. Osweiler proved to be a solid starter against a stellar New England defense in unfavorable conditions. The Texans will be a more rounded team as they already have a strong defensive line led by their star JJ Watt, and a proven secondary. The Houston Texans will be a team to watch for if Osweiler can fit into their offensive game plan. Lamar Miller will run the ball and open up the passing game. For Fantasy Owners, look for Osweiler and wide receiver Deandre Hopkins to get going, as they will a have many chances to link up from a good ground game in Lamar Miller.

Another team that deserves to be in the spotlight for next season is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team is led by quarterback Jameis Winston. Last season it was evident that Tampa Bay needed a defense, as their offense proved they could put up points against anyone with the help of a surprising season from their running back Doug Martin. Tampa Bay also acquired new additions to their team signing Brent Grimes from the Miami Dolphins, and drafting Vernon Hargreaves from the University of Florida. These are two major additions that Tampa Needs for a successful secondary. Despite a tough upcoming schedule, and improvements to their defense, Tampa will look to a have a successful season given that running back Doug Martin and wide receiver Mike Evans continue to contribute on the offensive side.

A third team that I feel should be up in lights are the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders had a good season this past year with an upbeat offense which seemed to really click. With quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Amari Cooper, and their 6’3” and 230Ib. running back Latavius Murray, contributing on the offensive side, they proved to be hard to stop last season. With their newest acquisition in veteran safety Reggie Nelson from Cincinnati, the defense looks to make stops to keep their elite offense on the field, yielding more chances for them to go to work next season. Look for Latavius Murray, and Amari Cooper to be strong fantasy picks this upcoming season. These are three teams will prove to be strong contenders this upcoming football season.
